Caiet

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

The short version: Caiet does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics — in the app or on this website.

The Caiet app

Caiet is a local-first desktop application. Your documents are read from and written to your own disk, and never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them yourself.

This website (caiet.app)

If you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit, this site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it — page views, clicks, scrolling, and session recordings — which sets cookies and collects your IP address and browser information. It does not know who you are; there is no account or sign-in on this site. Decline the banner (or don't interact with it) and Clarity never loads. SeeMicrosoft Clarity's termsfor details. The site also loads web fonts from Google Fonts to render text.

App Store & Microsoft Store

When you download Caiet from the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store, the store operator (Apple or Microsoft) handles the purchase and download and may collect data under their own privacy policies. That data collection is outside Caiet's control — see Apple's and Microsoft's own privacy policies for details.

Changes to this policy

If Caiet ever starts collecting data — for crash reporting or an optional cloud feature, for example — this page will be updated first, and the change will be described plainly here.
